Belarusian authorities began harassing and jailing political opponents of Alyaksandr Lukashenka several months before the August presidential election that is widely seen as rigged. They were charged with organizing and preparing actions that violate public order. Current Time spoke to the relatives of some of those detained, including the wives of opposition politicians Mikalay Statkevich​ and Paval Sevyarynets.
