Arguably the most prominent of Ukraine’s female politicians, former Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, the 58-year-old head of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party, finished the country’s 2019 presidential race with 13.30% of the vote, narrowly trailing Acting President Petro Poroshenko. With no place for her in the runoff, one family of avid Timoshenko supporters in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson discussed with Current Time who will get their vote instead.
