Armenian Protest Leader Nikol Pashinian: 'We're Taking Steps' Toward Change

On April 17, 2018, thousands of supporters of 43-year-old reformist Armenian parliamentarian Nikol Pashinian took to the streets of Armenia's capital, Yerevan, to push for “a peaceful people’s revolution." Their goal: to force the resignation of Serzh Sarkisian, Armenia’s longtime leader, as prime minister. Amidst the march, Pashinian, who would replace Pashinian as prime minister, discussed his plans and goals with Current Time.
