Defying Fear, Nagorno-Karabakh Refugees Return Home

Roughly two weeks after the end of fighting with Azerbaijan over the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven adjoining territories, hundreds of Karabakh’s ethnic Armenian residents are slowly starting to return home from Armenia. But while Russian peacekeepers may provide some sense of safety, they also demonstrate how radically the 44-day war changed these refugees’ lives. Current Time asked one of this group to film her trip back to the northeastern Karabakhi town of Martuni (Khojavend) from Yerevan.
