But for 70-year-old champion ice swimmer Zinaida Bulygina, swimming in a frozen river is all about embracing life. Some villagers have maligned her sense of independence, but, for this indefatigable, so-called “walrus” (“morzh”), that’s just another obstacle to let float past.
